HIMABERB® supports healthy blood glucose and cholesterol levels
Berberis aristata extract taken at a 97% concentration of berberine hydrochloride (HIMABERB®) is considered the most effective berberine supplement for several reasons.
Firstly, it contains a high concentration of berberine, which is the active compound responsible for its health benefits. This high concentration means that a smaller dose can be taken, which may reduce the risk of potential side effects.
Secondly, Berberis aristata extract has been shown to have superior bioavailability compared to other sources of berberine. Bioavailability refers to the amount of a substance that is absorbed into the bloodstream and available for the body to use. Studies have shown that the absorption of berberine from Berberis aristata extract is significantly higher than that from other sources, such as goldenseal or barberry.
HIMABERB® is studied to support blood glucose and cholesterol parameters in 2 double blind, randomized, placebo controlled human trials.
- The study aimed to assess the impact of daily oral berberine (HIMABERB®) on glycemic control in prediabetic individuals. A 12-week randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial with 34 participants showed significant reductions in fasting blood glucose, insulin resistance, 2-hour glucose tolerance, and HbA1c in the berberine-treated group compared to the placebo. Berberine was well-tolerated with no severe adverse effects, indicating its potential as an intervention to delay progression to diabetes mellitus. The study supports the exploration of HIMABERB® for managing prediabetes.

In summary, HIMABERB® is considered an effective berberine supplement due to its high concentration of berberine and superior bioavailability. Clinical studies have shown its effectiveness in improving blood sugar control and reducing cholesterol levels.
